A Pet's Prayer

Read this poem over and over again to remind herself that she did not make a wrong decision. It was a decision that was made out of love.

If it should be, that I grow frail and weak,
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then, you must do what must be done
For this, the last battle, can't be won.
Don't let your grief stay your hand,
For this day more than the rest,
Your love and friendship stand the test.

We've had so many years,
What is to come can hold no fear.
You'd not want me to suffer, so
When the time comes, please let me go.
Take me where my needs they'll tend,
Only, stay with me to the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time you'll see it is a kindness you do for me
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I've been saved.

We've been so close, we two, these years,

Pawprints in my heart

She's her dog, HERS, and only hers

She is my other eyes that can see above the clouds
My other ears that hear above the winds
She has told me more than a thousand times over
That I am her reason for being -
By the way she snugs against my leg,
by the way she wags her tail upon seeing me,
byt he way she shows hurt when I leave without taking her

When I am wrong, she is delighted to forgive
When I am sad, she clowns to make me smile
When I am happy, we shared the joy
When I am a fool, she ignores it
When I succeed, she brags

Without her, I am only another person
With her, my life is made meaningful

She has taught me the meaning of
devotion is loyatly itself
With her, I know the secret of comfort and a private peace
She has brought me understanding where before I was ignorant

Her head on my knee heal all the hurts
She may be timid, but still,
Her presence by my side is protection against
my fears of dark and unknown things
She has promised to wait for me...
Whenever... wherever... in case I need her
And I expect I will, as I always have
She's my dog, MINE

Heaven's Doggy door

Behind the door, writes a story of her and her.

My best friend closed her eyes that night,
As her head was in my arm.
The Doctors said she was in pain,
And it was hard for her to breathe.
The thoughts that scurried through my head,
As I cradled her in my arms.
Were of how I could go on without her.

Today, there was no gentle nudge
With an intense "I love you gaze",
Only a heart thats filled with tears
Remembering our joy filled days.
I wish for an Angel to appeared to me,
And says,
"You should cry no more,
God also loves our canine friends,
He's installed a 'doggy-door"!

So she knows that she is warm and safe till they both meet at the Rainbow Bridge

Stairway to Heaven

If tears could build a stairway

And memories a lane

I'll walk right up to Heaven

And bring you Home again

It's difficult to let go of you

The Rainbow Bridge

Have you ever heard of the Rainbow Bridge? She asked many people. It's a special place for all our canine friends when they leave this place. It's a beautiful place, she can only imagine it as one... She feels the pinch, but she knows that all will be well... for her...

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially

close to someone here on Earth, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends

so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine,

and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor.

Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,

Just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing;

They each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together,

but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.

Her bright eyes are intent.

Her eager body quivers.

Suddenly she begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass,

Her legs carry him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet,

You cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face;

Your hands again caress the beloved head,

And you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet,

So long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together…..

A g... journey

Perhaps she needs a hand to help her a little bit... just a little bit... to carry her up so that she can continue to walk, and maybe, sometimes, stumble.

Somewhere inside, she still wants to believe in fairies because once upon an enchanted evening, fireflies would dance, and fairies will make wishes come true. She only has one wish and she asked the fairies to please grant it.

A deepest sympathy card for her to... ???

Thank you for those who had lent a shoulder to cry on, to those who had lent a listening ear, to those who had lent a helping hand. This blue rose is for you, you and you.

Last of all, can you hear that she misses you? Very very very much. Very. See you on the rainbow bridge...

Take a stroll down the beach

Do take some time to stroll down the beach. Watch the sunset, walk the soft sand, hear the waves, listen to the whistling of the wind... It's such a beautiful thing to do. I read that - In every grain of the sand, there is a story of the Earth. So beautifully described. Visual this in your minds' eyes. Enjoy the moment...

Don't grow up too quickly,
Lest you forget how much
you love the beach

She imagines herself walking along the beach and she realizes that her life is like a stroll on the beach... as near to the edge as she can go.

If she was still little, if only she was still litte...

Reminders of the carefree days,
Building castles in the sand

A child...

She works with children not because she loves children, but because she loves working with them. There is a difference.

As she watched the world and the children, there was a pain in her heart - neglected, abandoned, abused, forgotten... This shouldn't be happening to them for they are the most innocent of all beings.

If we could put faith, love and hope together, we can raise positive children in a negative world!

Bitter are the tears of a child:

Sweeten them

Deep are the thoughts of a child:

Quiet them

Sharp is the grief of a child:
Take it from him

Soft is the heart of a child:

Do not harden it

Let's party

Put on your dancing dress and start to dance like nobody is watching.

Life may not be the party we hoped for

But while we are here

We should party!

If I could...

... Live in the water...

Wouldn't that be real cool? Did the centre beading and did not know how to continue to finish the card. Suddenly thought about the project approach - Underwater Theme - which I'm planning to do with my children this coming June. And I started to imagine being able to live in the water. How would it be? Free fun scary exciting adventurous wonderful....???

I guess I'll know after June. =)

Enjoy the simple things

Take time
to enjoy the

Lifes' pace is getting real fast, so fast we all have failed to stop and notice the flowers that are growing at our feet. You pass by more than you could ever imagine. It is time to relax, and go slower. There is only one life, why hurry pass it? There are many things we can enjoy.

And you run and you run
to catch up with the sun
But it's sinking
racing around
to come up
behind you again

And yet, we run and run, chasing after time. But we forgot that the sun will always come up behind us again. So, why run against time? All sounds so perfect if we can really slow down.

Experiences teaches slowly,
and often at the cost of mistakes

It's ok that you have been real fast in your pace. It's never too late to slow down. We all make mistakes of going too fast. It's an experience. And through this experience, we realise the mistakes. We will someday learn that we do need to take time to look at the beautiful things around us.
